My favorite photos from 2009.

Photography
You may have seen some of these
photographs on my Facebook page. This is the first time that they
have been posted anywhere on my website.
Sunrise at the Wilson Park boat ramp, Wickford
Harbor. I sometimes launch my Zodiac at or before dawn to catch the
early light.
The coast of
Maine is a great place to watch the sunrise.
Wildlife is every where in Exeter, RI. This little guy
jumped in the water after I unknowingly planted my tripod in the
mud just inches away from where he was hiding. He was brave enough
to stick around and allow me to quietly capture his portrait.

I love sailing and photographing sailboats. It doesn't get much better than a Herreshoff Museum Classic Yacht Regatta. Beautiful lines and nice light.
This is a
reflection that I captured in Wickford Harbor. This is the first
time I have shown one of these images on my website. Please email
me any comments that you wish to offer on this piece.
With fall
color in abundance in 09, I made a point of getting out to capture
some of it. This scene is from CCRI's Knight Campus
Estate.
This scene
was photographed at New Deal Farm in Exeter in mid-December during a
heavy snowstorm. Julie of New Deal Farm invited me back to
photograph Ed, Ted, and Mimi. I hope to do that periodically.
This summer I
spotted several trees located along Rt. 3 near the Exeter town
line. I have returned six times looking for the perfect sunset to
shoot as a background to the trees. Never got the perfect sunset.
However, this is one of a few keepers I have brought home from this
location. Sometimes I am pleasantly surprised by what I don't
expect to see, more so than what I have pre-visualized as
perfect.
